True

True

The awesome song with it’s spot-on lyrics, True Colorshas been dancing around my brain these days, which is waaaaaay ok by me ’cause ♥ It’s a goodie ♥

& given the surreal circumstances we are living, with Covid-19 continuing it’s lurk, the words true colors are beautiful are truly touching home
& I wonder …
Are they ? Are they really all that beautiful ??

I try to keep mine neat and tidy, bright, lovely and shiny but I’ll admit, sometimes it’s downright impossible. Ugly exclamations, dismal thoughts, the pound, pound, POUNDING of 24/7 BREAKING NEWS, social media with it’s endless commentary …

ugh

Want to know a secret ??
I left FaceBook because I simply could not handle the negativity any longer. People I thought I knew so, soooo well are just not who they portray and it honest to goodness just hurts my heart, so I exited, with absolutely no plans for a grand !! I’m Back !! return. And that makes me sad. I’ve abandoned the niceys because of the meanies. But, try as I might, allllll I could see was the not so pretty TRUE.

So today, I’m wondering, how’s yours ?? Your true colors, that is. Have you peeked in on them lately ? Have you dusted them off and arranged them just right ? Have you zeroed in on you own self to see what others discover when glancing your way ?

hmmm.

Working with children all those years, I’ve always been amazed by the purity of their TRUE. It’s genuine, at it’s best. It’s a touch of Heaven, for sure. Somewhere down the line though, ! poof ! that simpleness evaporates.  But where does it go ?? and why does it leave ??

& that, right there, Like. A. Child. is exactly what I continually strive to be. Positive. Caring. Compassionate. Helpful. Kind. It shouldn’t be all  that complicated to accomplish but, but, but …

Hey, do me a favor, please. Check in on your true colors today and I’ll do the same for you and hopefully, ooooh hopefully,

a rainbow we’ll see, we’ll be.

🙂
