For Me

For Me

Truth be told, it wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be. I knew what I wanted to convey, but scribble, scratch, scratch and scribble became my early answers. So walk away, I did, to ponder, to think. And I need to give an enthusiastic shout-out to PBS American Portrait for, once again, handing me an awesome inquiry

& hmmm., 2020.

hmmm.

So. Here’s what I came up with as I hit send and off into the universe my words floated …

Corny ? Maybe. A bit too mushy-mushy ? Probably. I mean, I suppose I could have stumbled down the I Can’t Wait Until You’re Over !! route cause you’re kinda, sorta earning that attribute, 2020. THE most difficult year EVER is most likely how you’ll go down in history and rightfully so. You’re a beast, my friend. But, I’m all about lessons and reasons and whyyyyyyy-s. And a treasure trove, you offer. But can we see it ? Will we get it ? Will any of us understand ?? I hope so, but I’m not all that confident we’re able.

Yet.

Hopefully somewhere down this road, we will uncover your mysteries, 2020. We will put the pieces of your puzzle together and an epiphany we will share. But, at this moment and in your vortex, tired, confused and wounded, the majority of us remain.

Please help us, 2020, for kindness and trust and beauty and love were with you and us this entire year too. All over and everywhere !! in every, single one of your roller-coaster days.  And if we can only grasp onto your bigger picture, 2020 ??  Maybe … ??

… maybe …

I very much appreciate this query, PBS American Portrait and I highly recommend your assignment !! Thought provoking, eyeopening, introspective it most definitely is and hmmm,  2020.

hmmm.
