I suppose I one day wrote a reminder to this brain of mine and ta-da !
It morphed.
It has become my go-to though
& theirs too, actually
especially at this jolly ‘ol time of the year.
“Got any ideas for Bro ?”
“Hey, has Dad mentioned what he’d like ?”
“What shall we get Sister ?”

Family continuously drops them whether they realize it or not.
Brief comments, minuscule moments, passerby instances that could easily be missed, lost or forgotten
unless I take the time to listen
& when I do ?
I hear those treasured wishes LOUD and clear.
Which makes me think about us, all of us.
Human beings walking around this beauty called Earth.
I’m pretty certain when we get right down to the basics, we are all simply searching for that very same something
&
just imagine how lovely life would be if we discovered that precious, priceless connector.
