My Guitar

Did I mention I got an acoustic guitar for my birthday ?
It is something I’ve always wanted and now I have one !

Did I mention my birthday was in April ?
My guitar has been sitting there since April.
shame on me.

I have a million excuses why I haven’t started strumming.
Some are legit.
Some are not.

But …
I am happy to announce the excuses, stalling and sidetracking stopped last night.
Last night was the first me and my guitar lesson.

It’s actually me, my guitar and the free online lesson guy.

I figure I’ll start with the free lessons.
If that doesn’t work I’ll get a ‘guitar for dummies’ book.
If that doesn’t work I will pay a patient someone to teach me.

I know, one way or the other, something will work.

It will be a long.
It will be tedious.
The neighbors won’t enjoy it.
But, I KNOW I will be strumming with ease one day.
I will !

So today, my fingers are sore but my heart is happy.
And I am very excited for my second lesson with the online guy tonight.

I’m learning to play the guitar.
