You’re My Heart

You’re My Heart

MY WHOLE HEART she tearfully, sincerely, heartwarming-ly wrote upon her bright, flowery stationary.
& last I looked, those little girl emotions remained tacked upon a bulletin board at her Grandpa’s house, destined to hunker in that spot until, one day, gifted back, they will be.

I don’t recall what exactly happened within those walls to cause my reaction that infamous moment in time,
sibling bickering, I suppose, !! mom !! this, or waaaaaa that … but tired and mad I was
and on the ride back to the place we call home, I let my syllables fly, reminding my children how very much their grandparents LOVE THEM  and how wrong it was to act so inexcusable, so obnoxious, so terrible, so …
and as the tears flowed out of that boy, girl and girl, my heart softened, I overcame my anger, and life, as it always does, continued.
& somewhere through it all … you’re my heart, my whole heart … came to be,
an authentic apology that, to this day, makes my insides turn to mush.

I tend to write about my family,

Unconditional

especially on birthdays

The Curly Hair Line

and special occasions,

Left Foot Right Foot

earmarking their places, reserving sentences just for them
and since this 24 is the anniversary of when Child 3 entered our lives, and I will be walking among those recollections, I need to echo her priceless sentiments of

you’re my heart, my whole heart

’cause yep, Family, it’s true.

Have a FANTASTIC day, ! C !
with BIG HUG appreciation for being so genuinely you.
