Amen
As I look back at pictures taken
and cherish new memories made,
I can’t help but wonder, why in the world I was even a tad bit nervous.
I suppose it’s because I realized, he was.
I suppose it’s because he’s a man of doing, not boasting.
I suppose it’s because everyone, everywhere, at sometime or another has a moment with my buddy,
so as he took that stage to acknowledge his Catholic Charities Volunteer of the Year Award
I locked into my let’s hurry up and doooooo this mode, say what you have to say and chalk it up to whew
done.
Dare I say, he owned, rocked, brought the house down and mic dropped it ??!??
Oh yes, he did.
He truly did.
He took that spotlight and dubbed it his.
And how wonderful, true blue, humble genuineness shines.
2 standing o’s
a spontaneous, sing-song of togetherness
congrats from here, there, near, far
and a domino effect of pure, happy vibes.
Thanks for another awesome, JUST BE YOU, lesson learned, Dad.
You did.
You are.
& proud, I’ll forever and ever and ever be.
Amen.
Amen.
Amen.
