That’s. My. Dad.

That’s. My. Dad.

Repeated, as family, friends and a whole bunch of happy souls make their way to Oklahoma City, OK
to gather, to acknowledge, to celebrate …

Enjoy.

In January, he was nominated,

Catholic Charities USA Volunteer of the Year

Yep, that’s my dad.
Kind, considerate, hardworking, loyal, trustworthy … the word is out on what we who know him have realized all along
and deserving of this high honor, he so is.

But what I love most about this man and the lesson he has embedded into my very core is how incredibly simple it is to be nice.
Through the ups, through the downs, through the zigs and the zags, through whatever which-way this road he travels has taken him, he remains, he continues …
pleasant,
happy,
steady,
solid,
just plain nice.

To say I’m proud is a gigantic understatement, Dad, for you truly embody what I try my best to be,
’cause when I see how blessings gravitate, they surround, they shine upon you, as if the universe itself is quietly emphasizing this, THIS is how to do … ! …
I’m reminded how delightful this world would be if we all followed your humble lead, your easy advice.

& YeP.

That’s. My. Dad.
