Hey Extreme
An Arctic Blast has taken root and hunkered in, for a few days now.
No biggie, it happens in this season of Winter.
We adjust.
We slow down.
We get through.
& quite a few years ago, Husband and I bought, installed and committed to a wood stove, for exact, brrrrr moments like these, ’cause there is simply no better warmth than wood stove warmth.
ahhhh.
But when it gets this cold ??
YeP.
even a cranked up fire needs a tag-team partner and a furnace comes in handy too.
So.
As I was checking in to how my one match buddy was doing recently, I stopped everything to snap this pic

awed by it’s WoW-za, I completely was.
Just a few minutes later, I bundled up to trek outside.
My compost bucket was filled to the rim and those critters who enjoy the scraps I collect, would, per usual, appreciate some yums.
I was about 100 steps in, when this cutie appeared.

& I thought, DANG, what a difference,
from one extreme to another, just like that.
And both, so darn gorgeous, in their own unique ways.
hmmmm.
Eventually, this led my brain waves to words I wrote a few whiles back …
because even in our deepest, darkest hour there is HOPE
and even on the ugliness of days, there is GOOD
and even amid the loudest of noise, there is COMPROMISE
and among the worse form of hate there is always, always, ALWAYS LOVE.
and to yet another delightful-ness that crossed my path …

& yes, extremes, I know you’re there, I realize you will continue to be there
in weather, in views, in everything this awesome life has to offer.
I promise, I am searching for your balance and beauty.
♥
Thanks, MaMa Nature.
