Dear Dandelions

Dear Dandelions

I realized the grass could use a haircut before we pulled out of the driveway, but eh, it wasn’t THAT bad and it’d been less than a week since it’s last trim, so, whatever, it’ll just have to wait, as Grandboy’s baseball games were waaaay more important.

YaY

Turning back into the place we call home, though ??? YIKES !! I swear, it doubled, TRIPLED overnight. eek. And yep, my trusty lawnmower and I would definitely have to !! hop to it !! asap, aka, tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you tomorrow.

And I sure hope you don’t think less of me as I confess this tidbit, but that lawn of ours had a party going on, a convention of sorts, a delightful gathering of …

which may bother some people, but really doesn’t burn my brain at all, especially as I witnessed the BEST. DAY. EVER. vibe of our next door neighbor youngster, frolicking through that field of fluffies, creating a bouquet for mama.

Fluffy Wishes

!! FUN !!

& yesterday, as I began the trek of chopping down those wilds, I couldn’t help but notice, dare I say, applaud !??! the resilience of a dandelion

Those guys are determined little buggers !! even with that brand new, clean, sharp blade on my equally persistent  mower … dang … some would pop right back up with a !! ha !! missed me !! tease. And this a.m. as I admire my freshly cut grass ?? One by steadfast one, those yellows slowly, but surely, promise their return.

They enter my life, this time, every year, and truth be told, I sometimes think about fertilizers or weed spray or whatever one uses to make them disappear. But their knock me down and I’ll get right back up, spunky perseverance makes me smile every time. And what a lesson to be learned !!

With resolve like that, dear dandelions ?? you’ll always have a place to hunker, here.

See ya next week.

🙂
