We’ve been walking together for so many days (Step By Step) it seemed a bit odd. But there I was yesterday, back in that treasure of a park

strolling solo

& wow.

Bundled up with music in my ears, on a trail I’ve frequented so, soooooo many times, ahhhhh, tranquility filled my soul. And if you’re ever looking for peace like no other, find a path and wander Winter (It’s A Secret). You’ll thank me later, for sure.

& no offense, people, but what I love most is the emptiness. Scattered, few and very far between are the other human beings I happen past. And during this time of Covid-19 precautions, truth be told, although I have it with me, I do not wear my face covering. It’s cold and who’s going to stop to chat anyways ???

I did cross paths with a few fine folks who apparently held the same notion though and as we zipped by with our Good Morning !! greeting, I thought, a smile !! a full-on, full face SMILE

And it occurred to me, as much as this introverted writer kinda, sorta, absolutely and oftentimes ADORES solitude ??

I miss smiles.

Scrunched together, random, stranger to stranger!! just for the heck of it !! genuine, big, BIG SMILES
