Repeated because I feel compelled to say something, but I honest to goodness don’t know what to say …

You see, for me, it seems So. Incredibly. Easy. because it’s all about respect.
Respect for our flag.
Respect for our country.
Respect for you, for others. Respect for us.

US.

& I often wonder, what has happened to Us ?

Because here we are, America, worked up, angry, fussin’, fighting, hurting and killing each other again. AGAIN !! and I’ve got to be honest with you, my friend, I am tired.

TIRED

Tired of being shouted at, tired of being warned, tired of being criticized and chided and analyzed. I am so, SO tired of being advised as to exactly what I should be feeling about my fellow human beings because, guess what ?!?

I like you.

That’s right.

& you and you and you, you, you and YOU too !! and I don’t want to be angry at you, her, him, they or them.

I want to be kind. I want to be trustful. I want to be gracious and thankful and helpful and open !! but most of all, I want to be respectful because I am convinced when I respect you, you will respect me. It is simple. It is true. It is what we do and who we are, America !! and the power of our loving, bright, positive, accepting US is so much stronger than anything that noise machine can offer

& it all begins with respect.
