Itsy-Bitsy Me

Itsy-Bitsy Me

As I was going about my biz the other evening, I crossed paths with a worm.

Yep. A worm.

There he was, slow and not so steadily inching around on the 90+ degree sidewalk, trying to make his way to wherever. And I gotta tell ya, my heart instantly detoured to mushy-mush as compassion took control. Since I am not a fan of picking up and/or touching worms, I found a tiny stick and nudged that helpless fella to the shade-filled dirt of nearby plants

This save mattered to no one else on this great big planet, but happy I felt.

The very next morning as I grabbed a cup of coffee, a tiny glow on my countertop caught my attention and what’s this ?? a misinformed  lightning bug, it was ! and since I have absolutely no qualms about picking up or touching, I gently redirected that teeny so and so back to the comfort of her flashing pals

No one knew, no one cared, but content, I was

& yesterday, since I inadvertently brought them in, I ushered two flies right back out.

Ahhh, Nature.

Truth be told ?? if any one of these encounters had been with a snake, a hairy spider, an irritating mosquito or a mouse, I would not have been so generous, but a valid point I intend to make so allow me to continue my words in this bubble of serendipity.

Watching tv last night, Husband and I stumbled upon a documentary about the why’s and where’s and how’s of the Hubble Space Telescope

& wow weeeeeeee !! my peeps !! Feeling as teensy as that worm, that shiny bug and those zip, zip, zippy flies, I plan to go about my today enthusiastically appreciating the very existence of me.

I am here.

I am now.

&

Incredibly, humbly, amazingly appreciative, I intend to be
