! Lemonade !
I last minute noticed them as I was driving home from my walk. Mom holding baby, young girl, lemonade stand. There they were all cute, cute and CUTE!! waiting and hoping for customers as the cars moseyed by.
When it was my turn to pass, they waved and eagerly shouted ! ! LEMONADE !! but instead of pulling right over and brightening that little someone’s day by purchasing and enjoying her summertime drink, what did I do instead ???!?
I held a conversation in my head.
errr, ummm Do I even have any money with me ?? I think I maybe have a dollar’s worth of quarters but what’s the price of lemonade these days ?? I didn’t catch the sign. What if I stop and it’s more money than I think I have ?? & anyways, I’m kinda cruddy looking after my walk. I might scare the kid with this windblown hairdo and beat up sweatshirt & yep, I’ve got lots and lots of things to do today. Busy, busy, always busy !!
& there I went, straight on back to home sweet home.
& if you’re wondering if I’m still kicking myself right smack dab in the arse for not pausing my yesterday for a simple glass of lemonade ??
Oh, yes. Yes, I am.
& it’s not only the fact that Mom and Daughter took the time it takes to create and develop a lemonade stand. It’s more about how many times I’ve NO’d before Yes’d

So, hey !! Hey there, Lemonade Girl !! You’ve awakened and inspired and I’ll have you know I went home and contacted friends who have patiently waited for me to reconnect, I reached out and made lunch dates that I should have made a long while ago and I shall be doing and walking and visiting because of your sweet gesture
& the next time I happen upon a someone like you with a few and far between, precious, priceless lemonade stand ?
I’ll stop what I’m doing.
