This ♥ Gift
He’s heard my voice raise an octave or two whenever we touch upon the topic
and that patient father of mine, grins the grin, and let’s me vent it out of my system,
because he knows,
this devout to the max Catholic knows, I have strayed away from church,
(and I’m sure this disappoints)
but time after time, talk after talk, Dad’s grown to realize, the spiritual me is alive and well
& I love Jesus,
oooooh,
how I love Jesus.

When I visited my childhood home yesterday, as I often do, I really, really, REALLY needed to wonder …

Now, I’m not one to

& I acknowledge, I have written, declared, whispered and muttered these syllables a gazillion times …
And I get it, everyone has their IN MY OPINION opinions. But unless you’re planning on joining me as I trek that stairway to Heaven, I simply cannot fathom how my biz can be anybody else’s biz.
