Not too many days ago, as I was sorting through a pile of clutter, deciding what to keep and what to purge, I stumbled upon a rejection letter from the days when I lived within the MUST BE PUBLISHED zone.
Kindly worded, the sentences express encouragement and determination to keep trying, because although it did not fit this particular publisher’s needs, my story had potential.
I’m quite certain, when I first read this opinion, I thought ♥ well, at least they were nice about it ♥
but, rejection is still rejection and wounded, I was …
… try. to. avoid. the. use. of. so. many. exclamation. points …
um.
ok.
But HOW ??
WHY ??
I ADORE THEM ! ! !
I pondered, as I continued on my journey to write the way I write, exclamations and all.
