In My Room
by the Beach Boys.
Released in 1963, covered by many a songster, I’m pretty sure you’ve heard these lyrics
but just in case …
& DANG
I. adore. this. tune.
since the somewhere in my teens moment, when I first experienced,
to now,
with it’s always perfect timing,
it’s quieting of my sometimes flustered vibe,
yep
these notes
have been a perfect ally.
From the door shut, hiding from my siblings days,
to the quick car ride, just me moments, in those busy-busy raising children years
to ahh.
ahhhhhhh.
& this, my friends, is my wish for you on this beauty of a new day.
Find your room
’cause when you do, I guarantee,
shhhhhhh.
you’ll find yourself.
&
YaY
what a wonderful place to be.
