My Someone

or his, hers

or ours.

As I glance at those numbers and view the steadfast, increasing toll (Covid-19) all I can think about are the someones.

A mom, a dad, a brother, sister, aunt, uncle, cousin, friend, grandma, grandpa, neighbor, acquaintance … A someone with someones. And my heart sinks because I cannot even begin to imagine the domino effect attached to each and every one of those someones.

Those who frequent this blog know I try to keep it positive around here. I seek bright, I write hope.

But the burden of those someones is on my mind and what I need to acknowledge today. And as we begin the process of opening up and finding our new normal (Phases) I just need to take this moment to realize.

It could be me, it could be mine.

It could be you, it could be yours.

Oh yes, you matter, Someone.
