Beautifully Broken

Beautifully Broken

Broken trees I’d see, at the park,

at home,

& at Mom’s quiet spot, where the Powers That Be decided to destroy, not transfer, these donated gifts

That’s when I turned to Google with my WHATTHEHECKISGOINGON???!!!?? questions, cause c’mon, now !!

& truth be told ?? I was hoping for a slightly more positive response. But ….

_ _ _ _ _

“The only time a branch falls off a tree on its own is when it is dead. No more life to keep it attached to the tree. No sap. No nothing. The tree feels no pain when the dead branch falls away. It might even feel relieved that the dead weight is finally gone. That the dead branch has finally fallen off.”

& um, please pay me no nevermind as I  jump into this hole and stay here awhile.

Boo.

booooooo.

Then I stumbled upon this gem,

& I thank you, Hal, because you could not have ventured into my world at a more perfect moment.

♥

The tree feels no pain … it might even feel relieved …

Strength.

Patience.

♥

& yes, Life, I have found yet another powerful lesson within the company of your beautifully broken trees.
