June 26th
has always held a special place in my heart.
It’s the day Mom and Dad pledged their love
and began a life, together
& it’s always amazed me how this guy from Indiana, this girl from New York, who met in California, sustained their decades-long relationship.

But the older I get, the easier it is to see, through easy times and rough, through laughter and tears, through the good most definitely outweighed the bad, these two people made each and every day work.
And I’m so darn grateful for the life they gifted.
Thank you for your lessons, your love, your promise, your commitment,
