Choosing Glee
The background noise, as I stare at my laptop this a.m. is our national news
and no offense, my people, but negativity sure rules our orbit most days, don’t it ?

So go ahead and call me ostrich,
‘cause I am hiding my head
and locking into positive only

& as I thumb through the book I call,
I am finding !! plenty !! to smile about,
such as …
Springtime colors,
morning coffee,
nice people,
a happy potato,
giggles in a dream,
words of hope,
flowers,
baseball,
left behind pens,
and enthusiastic backgrounds.
So hush the noise, I will,
and delightfully hunkered in
I will remain.
We both gotta do what we both gotta do, National News,
and I’m calling dibs on the beautiful simpleness of glee.
