Fess Up Happy

Fess Up Happy

I was having trouble deciding what to fess up today.
My mind was drawing a big, fat blank.
Nothing.

Not that I don’t have things to fess … oh, I do … yes I do …
But, nothing was feeling right.
So, I decided to step away for a bit and strum my guitar.

I know five chords now.
They sound pretty darn good if I do say so myself.
Nate, my online guitar teacher guy, tells me I can learn the Beatles’  ‘Let It Be’ with those five chords.
That’s all fine and dandy Nate but, my pledge to me was to learn Barry Manilow’s ‘Mandy’.
& Mandy it will be.

As I was pondering my fess and practicing the strum, I realized how very happy that guitar makes me.
It touches my soul.
It really does.

My Friday Fess Up ?
I’m happy.
I mean deep down to the core, finally super content with me happy.
Content with ME.

Back in April, on my Double Nickels birthday, I promised myself I would follow my heart.
Wherever it leads.
I am in.

My heart said to wholeheartedly throw myself into my writing.
My heart said to learn to play an acoustic guitar.
My heart said to continue walking.
My heart said keep listening to my heart.

I have.
I am.
I do.
I will.

Without straying too far into Corny-ville, I highly suggest doing the same.
Follow your heart and find that happy.
It’s there.

Believe me, your heart will thank you.
& you will thank you.

But….
Those Fess Up Friday anticipaters just might be asking you …

“WHAT THE HECK KIND OF FESS UP WAS THAT ?!?”

Fess.
Fess.

🙂
