She’s 7 days old, today.
Arriving the first week of February, just like her mama, years before.
And as I held this brand new, little person,
as I stared into those eyes,
so awed,
so incredibly mesmerized,
humbled to my very core,
emotions cascaded me back to the first time I met my newborn daughter.
When I heard “It’s a Girl”
WoW.
I believe I repeated “A girl. A girl. I got a girl !” a million times.
And words are near impossible to find.
She is grandchild #4,
and aware, somehow I know she already is, of the love surrounding, protecting, forever by her side
so easily passed from generation to generation, so beautifully gifted in the smiles, the joy, the pure feels of each and every one of us who anticipated her arrival.
