She sounded just like her mama, when responding, eh, to my !! Happy Birthday Eve Eve !! glee. And as our conversation continued, we kinda, sorta, reluctantly agreed, yep. the older one gets, it’s just another day, I prefer yours over mine … blahblahblah …
But since TODAY is the official anniversary of the day she was born, I’d like to erase those humdrum comments and replace them with a few
and enthusiastically shout,
because a big deal ! it most certainly ! is !!
And as you mosey about your 24, dear daughter, as those phone calls and texts from your favorite peeps roll in, reminding you ! ! Hey ! ! It’s your birthday ! ! As you enjoy the cake, presents, happy cheers and smiles dashing in and out and around with delightful exuberance because YaY ! ! IT’S YOUR BIRTHDAY ! ! I hope you realize what this day means to those who love you most
